Bariatric Brachioplasty

Bariatric Brachioplasty Stock ImageAfter losing weight from bariatric surgery, are you embarrassed from excess skin sagging from your upper arm? Dr. McNemar's cosmetic bariatric brachioplasty, or arm lift, is a surgical procedure that removes this excess skin and will tighten and tone the your upper arm.

Find out how you can benefit from arm plastic surgery. San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Modesto and other California residents trust Dr. McNemar for their cosmetic surgery procedures. Request your consultation online at either his San Ramon or Tracy locations and receive a complimentary excerpt from Dr. McNemar's new book, Breast Augmentation & Body Contouring, which includes information you need to know to help you achieve a satisfying cosmetic surgery experience.

If You're Considering Arm Lift

If the surplus skin on your upper arms keeps you from wearing your favorite clothes or wanting to raise your arms over your head, consider the arm lift to restore a more youthful looking contour to your arms. Loose and drooping skin on your arms may not be the only issue. If you have excess fat on your arms, you can elect to combine the brachioplasty surgery with liposuction in San Ramon or Tracy. This may give you a better result, and Dr. McNemar will guide you to the right procedure. If you elect to have liposuction, after suctioning the fat, Dr. McNemar will remove the surplus skin on your upper arm, tighten the skin and complete the lift by suturing the incision closed.

Your Brachioplasty Procedure

The upper arm lift operation begins with an incision; the location and length of the incision depends on the amount of skin you wish to have removed, as well as the location of the excess skin flap. In the most extreme cases, the incision may extend from the armpit to the elbow to remove the maximum amount of skin. With a full arm lift a scar is unavoidable; however in time, the scar will fade. Most patients feel that the benefits of bariatric brachioplasty far outweigh the scars left behind by the surgery.
