Nose surgery reshapes and recontours the nose allowing for improved facial harmony and creating balance among facial features. The surgery also may address deformities secondary to trauma or hereditary traits. During the procedure, incisions hidden at the nostril base and/or inside the nose allow access to reshape underlying cartilage and/or bone. This may include lowering bumps, narrowing of nasal bones, shaping of the nasal tip or nostril size, and improving the angle between the nose and the upper lip. The proceudre also can correct breathing difficulties caused by structural irregularities.

A splint and packing is placed after the procedure and removed by the 5th day.
